“Nobody Is Perfect" is a world of musical redemption, seeking the magic in singularities, mistakes, weirdness, and cosmic energy in musical production. Not a show for every type of music so... but a show for everyone. Curated by the two founders of Hard Fist Records, Cornelius Doctor and Tushen Raï, this selection doesn’t specialize in any one genre but is driven by an infinite quest for a unique, uncanny energy—a feeling you can only get when listening to a truly distinct track.

“Nobody Is Perfect" is an invitation to journey without fear or prejudice, where you’ll encounter projects of spiritual dub, early trance, rare cosmic disco records, post-punk, and acid rave. Nothing is impossible. Blending a selection of recent releases, unreleased tracks, and forgotten old records from their personal collections, Nobody Is Perfect aims to satisfy the most voracious musical appetites.

Two hours of a bi-monthly rendezvous on the airwaves of Mutant Radio, featuring a new guest each episode for an exclusive mix, along with selections from the show’s two creators: Cornelius Doctor and Tushen Raï.

TUSHEN RAÏ & CORNELIUS DOCTOR

With the creation of Hard Fist in 2017, Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor took off for a cosmic journey. Highly inspired by labels like Optimo, Versatile, Comeme and by the spirits of Andrew Weatherhall, they have only one motto : "Stay singular, keep the floor tripping, give them something they don't know". From Turkish psychedelism to Romanian cold wave, Jamaican Disco or tribal breakbeat, their undeniable dancing sets are fed with powerful soul voices, weirdo beats and unknown instruments.

In only 5 years, their label Hard Fist became a reference and each new release is highly expected by a community of fans growing up every day.

Played, supported and followed by some major artists like Nicola Cruz, Gerd Janson, Skatebard, Laurent Garnier, Marvin & Guy, Red Axes, etc, their imprint has never sought to emerge from the underground and still continues to follow the line that they chose at the very beginning : releasing extra-occidental artists, offering to young talents their first EPs, and creating an international community of producers based on values such as solidarity, peace and respect, and where creativity in art will always come first – before music business and marketing.

Hard Fist records have been here at the very beginning of the career of artists like Bawrut, MR TC, Pletnev, Strapontin, Omar Joesoef, A-Tweed and recently Vongold & Fargo Devianti and have collaborated with the finest artists from the underground like Jennifer Cardini, Matias Aguayo, Damon Jee, Curses, Zombies In Miami, Cosmo Vitelli, Deena Abdelwahed, Dengue Dengue Dengue or Juan McLean.

But Cornelius Doctor & Tushen Raï are not only the Hard Fist's founders... Hyperactive, the guys have been invited to play in more than 25 countries in the last 5 years and have been residents of Rex Club in Paris for 2 years before settling down in Le Sucre, in Lyon, their hometown.

The duo does a lot of self-production, and have released 5 EPs including two together and have signed a huge amount of remixes, edits or singles for compilation on Labels like Correspondent, Permanent Vacation, Disco Hamam, Tom Tom Disco, Duro or ZZK which have received great praises from media like Resident Advisor, Dj Mag, Groove, Trax, etc. Their first EP "Lights Of Khonvoum" released in 2018 on their own label Hard Fist have even been qualified by Mixmax as "One of the most interesting EP of the year".

In 2022, they continue their way with many new music coming out at the end of the year and the production of a special 5 years double vinyl compilation on Hard Fist which is already "out of order". A fast and unexpected rise, but still the same roots :
