Scene City is back on Mutant to feature Geyera, a fresh project from Kyiv-based electronic producer SVZZ. Launched in 2023, it serves as a platform for exploring the genealogy of bass music. While SVZZ is known for focusing on more traditional drum-and-bass sounds, Geyera leans towards the experimental side, merging genres like jungle, broken beat, and UK garage, among others. The upcoming album, set to be released in May on Iriy Records, represents the second chapter in a trilogy that began with Geyera's "Limbo." In addition to production, Geyera has carved out a successful career as a DJ and hosts the monthly radio show "Iriy Frequencies" on 20ft Radio.
In this set, Geyera delves into the eclectic depth of Ukrainian bass music, featuring key artists to introduce Ukraine's underground scene to a global audience. The set not only features his selections, but also includes own unreleased tracks, as well as works from another Iriy Records artist, human margareeta, which are yet to be released.
